The role

This position is part of the Service Delivery team within the ICT Operations unit. ICT Operations is responsible for managing all Council IT systems and assets, as well as GIS and telecommunications systems.

The Service Delivery team provides first and second level IT support across the organisation. As part of the Service Delivery team, the role will provide timely and friendly customer support and incident resolution. It will also help in the development of the Service Delivery team through contributions to improvements in support systems, processes, and knowledge base.

About you

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the City of Ballarat is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a passion for customer service and experience with IT Service management.

To be successful you will have:
A certificate IV in Information Technology or greater, and/or equivalent industry experience working in an ICT support role.

Great Interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability and commitment in providing an excellent customer service experience, with a high degree of customer satisfaction.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail

The ability to work well autonomously and as part of a team

Demonstrated knowledge of all modern Microsoft products including Windows 10, Microsoft 365 and Azure

Proficiency in documenting technical investigations and outcomes accurately and concisely

Strong troubleshooting skills, with an ability to learn.
